Since 1999, Bluestone has been the founding director of the Kitty and Michael Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern in Boston, where he was also the founding dean of the University’s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs from 2008–2012. This course focuses on key elements of the project management and change management disciplines necessary to effectively implement and execute an Information Technology (IT) innovation in the public sector. The 5 days hands-on training program was conducted by modelling experts from the Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden (KTH), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and led by Eduardo Zepeda, recently retired from DESA.
