Daniel was clever and a master of manipulation, able to twist the truth until I accepted his fabricated reality. Two of the most buzz-y memoirs among the pack are Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl and Amy Poehler's Yes Please, to be released in September and October, respectively. Both memoirs and autobiographies tell detailed true stories. It is Hamilton's strength as a writer (she earned an MFA) that distinguishes her book from other food memoirs.

The book grew out of an assignment from a fourth-grade teacher who worked with students and parents over seven years to collect hundreds of stories. Thompson, published in 1972, became the most widely used astronomy textbook in the country with new editions in 1974 and 1977. They summarize ideas on a section or paragraph and explain how all of the ideas within it go together. Clearly, David Rosenberg was not one to dwell on life's dark side.
