Repeat the layers and finish with the goat cheese mixture. In our twist, we substitute spicy deli meats as a partner to the bracing greens. The starch in the potatoes, once again, absorbs water and swells during the cooking process. Place the chicken thighs, skin side up, on top of the shallots. Because I really quite adore all things ranch, and all things potato, and all things grilled. Return to oven and bake for 25 minutes, until top is lightly browned and potatoes are tender.

In general, the potatoes themselves are grown from the eyes of another potato and not from seed. To sprinkle drops of liquid lightly over food in a casual manner. I also chose a puttanesca sauce for instant heat and threw in some chorizo I had left over (not veggie, but yummy). Fresh herbs and spices are better but dried will do nicely if you don’t have access to fresh. They look delicious; I can't wait to make them. Food should never be covered when roasting.

Occasionally I’ll scrape off the mouldy bits and eat the rest (after a thorough reheating). I did not use the swiss cheese at all but did use white cheddar. A kitchen utensil used to reduce whole soft foods, such as cooked potatoes and carrots into smaller bits. Place a chicken breast on a flat surface with its widest end away from you. Remove melted chocolate from heat and set aside. Carefully remove foil, sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese and the Asiago or Parmesan.

This has been my choice for my Birthday lunch the last two years running. The holes will provide a place for steam to escape, preventing the potatoes from bursting. They will continue cooking a little longer after they are drained. A friend of the family gave me a recipe for a chicken salad that I really should share with y’all soon along with a beautiful, huge glass bowl that I use all the time. Drizzle butter over the potatoes and in between the slices. Top with butter, sour cream, or spicy garlic salsa. The only requirement involves cooking to swell the starch granules. COVER and cook on high 2-3 hours, or until carrots are just tender. I opt for orange-fleshed taters because, to me, the presentation of a white sweet potato just doesn’t have the same panache. Strawberries, chocolate chunks/chips, chopped peanuts, a drizzle of honey or even crumbled bacon would all make great options for topping for this quick and easy, kid/family friendly, chocolate peanut butter brownie pizza! I love making creamed turkey after Thanksgiving with leftover turkey and gravy and this tastes just like it. You definitely want cumin to help round out the flavor profile and bring in a little of that earthy, peppery goodness. I recently got an Instant Pot, an electric pressure cooker that often works better than a slow cooker.
